Description
The Clan Chief Leather Body & Belt Kit designed by Alex Agricola, is a tough leather armour with a unique embossed centrepiece on the body and multiple decorative embossing��s on the belt, it is one of our most popular designs.
This exciting new kit can be chosen with Raven or Wolf embossing or ordered without embossing for you to add your own details, the kit contains all of the leather, rivets and buckles needed to complete one armour, along with a set of fully illustrated instructions, all you require to build this armour is a 5/64 inch (2mm) drill, adjustable dividers, stitch groover, hammer, a smooth hard surface to hammer against and a 3/8 inch (10mm) domed rivet setter and optionally a decorative edge stamp. You will also need a dye/stain to add the colour of your choice and resolene or similar to seal the leather against bad weather.
This armour is designed to be worn and used and is suitable for Renaissance Fairs, Larp, Re-enactment, film or theatre and can be upgraded to SCA regs simply following the steps below, it is detailed enough to be used on screen and will stand up to close scrutiny and the sternest critique.
To improve protection for SCA use we recommend gluing a heavy Suede (not included) to the inside of the armour
The Body is available to fit a 33 to 37 inch (84 to 94 cm) Bust up to a C Cup
The Belt is available in 3 sizes going from 26 to 50 inches (66 to 127 cm)
NOTE:
Kit contains Body & Belt Only shoulders NOT included
SCA rules state that heavy leather armour must be worn over .25 inch (6 mm) of closed-cell foam or equivalent padding.
